Continental: A Frontier Development Game

The year is 1845, and you've just established a small town in the American west. Choose between the Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, or Pacific Coast, to establish your town to try and strike it rich like everyone else. 

You will come to learn the ways of the west as you battle the economy and make choices on what products to focus on. Wood, kerosene, bricks, steel, railroad tracks, livestock, and textiles are just a few of the things that makeup your economy.

Prospect gold and oil to try and make it big, and collect those resources with gold mines and oil seep works/rigs.  Finding these resources is very helpful early on to get your town making profit.

Send out teams of cowboys on horseback to scout surrounding land and meet with local Native American tribes. These explorers will return with resources to sell and trade deals set up with tribes to help both sides. 

At the center of everything is the railroad. With the country expanding westward at an alarming rate due to the idea of Manifest Destiny and the Gold Rush, railroads have become vital for moving people, resources, and products around the country. A train will drive through your town to collect the products you've made and they will be sold for a good profit.
